Michael Phelps To Host 34th Season Premiere Of SNL

Michael Phelps is being called a hero to the United States for the 8 gold medals that he won for his country while at the 2008 Beijing Olympics. His incredible talents have won him stardom and popularity and it seems a job to host one of the funniest show on television.

SNL has asked that Michael Phelps host their next show. The record breaking swimmer stated that he will gladly be there for them during their 34th season premiere - which will air September 13th on NBC.

‘Privileged’ Synopsis

Megan Smith feels that she is wasting her degree from Yale by working for a tabloid magazine. Her life seems to take a turn for the better when she is fired from her job and runs into Laurel Limoges - a cosmetic mogul - who asks Megan to be a live-in tutor for her twin teenage granddaughters.

NBC Pushes Jay Leno Out

Jay Leno has been giving the date for his final episode on the Tonight Show. NBC told Leno that he will be taking a mandatory retirement and his last episode will be May29th, 2009. The man to take his place will be late night host Conan O’Brien starting June 1st, 2009.

O’Brien currently has his own show - but will be giving it up in March or April and will be moving from New York all the way to Los Angeles. The man to take O’Brien’s place will be Jimmy Fallon.

Amy Poehler To Join “Office” Spinoff

Amy Poehler is well known for being one of the hit comedians on SNL and for her new comedy film “Baby Mama”. She is saying farewell to “Saturday Night Live” and saying hello to a spinoff from the “Office”.

Poehler said she will join NBC’s spinoff of “The Office.” “I can kind of confirm that I will be working in some capacity on that show,” said Poehler. “I don’t really have any other details yet.”

Christopher Gorham To Leave “Ugly Betty”

Christopher Gorham stars as the lovable accountant Henry in the hit television show “Ugly Betty”. He has been one of the favorites on the show after he was introduced as a guest star during the fall of 2006. Now he will be taking his leave and as secured himself a spot on a new television series on CBS.

Cast Of ‘Simpsons’ Get New Salary Of $400,000

20th century Fox and the voice cast of ‘The Simpsons’ have been negotiating for months to work out a new four year deal that would make everyone happy. The new pact states that the top actors of the show will make $400,000 per episode – which is lower than the $500,000 that the cast was asking for.

Lindsay Lohan Shows Up In Season Finale Of “Ugly Betty”

Lindsay Lohan is trying to leave behind her sordid past and jump start her career. To start off she will be a guest star in the ABC comedy series “Ugly Betty” as a former classmate of Betty’s who was less than nice. The last movie that Lohan starred in was “I Know Who Killed Me” – which turned out to be a big flop.
