Tori Spelling Backs Out Of 90210
The new 90210 spin off was going to feature many new faces - but fans of the original series were happy to know that they were going to see a few of the older ones as well. However, Tori Spelling will not be among the few to show her face.
According to reliable sources Spelling pulled out of the CW’s 90210 because she was not being paid the same amount as her former costars Shannen Doherty and Jennie Garth. Tori discovered that the two had been signed on for $40,000 to $50,000 per episode - but she herself was getting less then $20,000. Ouch!
Her request was denied, so Tori backed out of the deal altogether. The show’s rep at the CW says: “The CW has no deal with Tori Spelling to appear on 90210 at this time.” And Tori’s rep says the same: “At this point there are no plans for Tori to appear on the 90210 spinoff.”
It will be interesting to see if the CW will re-consider the offer and try to get her back on board before it is too late. Then again the show might just survive without her.
