‘Gossip Girl’ Faces Obstacles Just In Time For Second Season

“Gossip Girl” became a hit show among the younger generation - but it seems as if more than a few people have been questioning the new campaign for the commercials and ads that are being spread for the second season in the show.

NBC Pushes Jay Leno Out

Jay Leno has been giving the date for his final episode on the Tonight Show. NBC told Leno that he will be taking a mandatory retirement and his last episode will be May29th, 2009. The man to take his place will be late night host Conan O’Brien starting June 1st, 2009.

O’Brien currently has his own show - but will be giving it up in March or April and will be moving from New York all the way to Los Angeles. The man to take O’Brien’s place will be Jimmy Fallon.

“High School Musical” Turns Into A Reality Show

Disney recognized how popular “High School Musical” was when they released the first movie and since then they have been making more and more. The third installment for the movie will be hitting theatres shortly and now it is coming out with an ABC reality show based on it.

On ”High School Musical: Get in the Picture” - airing at 7 Sunday and Monday nights on WLS-Channel 7 - auditions are held for about a dozen slots in a summer music program at Murray High School, where the ”HSM” movies were filmed near Salt Lake City.

Shannen Doherty Returns To Her Old Address

Shannen Doherty became popular after starring the 90210. The show is being resurrected on the CW this year and she is coming back for more. She will be starring in several episodes this fall and Gabe Sachs - the executive producer - stated that, “She’s going to direct our musical.”

But wait, before you 90-diehards start planning your trip to Broadway to see Steve Sanders in spandex with jazz hands, you should know he meant Shannen’s character Brenda, will play the director of West Beverly High’s musical–on the show within the show.

Amy Poehler To Join “Office” Spinoff

Amy Poehler is well known for being one of the hit comedians on SNL and for her new comedy film “Baby Mama”. She is saying farewell to “Saturday Night Live” and saying hello to a spinoff from the “Office”.

Poehler said she will join NBC’s spinoff of “The Office.” “I can kind of confirm that I will be working in some capacity on that show,” said Poehler. “I don’t really have any other details yet.”

Christopher Gorham To Leave “Ugly Betty”

Christopher Gorham stars as the lovable accountant Henry in the hit television show “Ugly Betty”. He has been one of the favorites on the show after he was introduced as a guest star during the fall of 2006. Now he will be taking his leave and as secured himself a spot on a new television series on CBS.

‘The Bachelorette’ Shocks Audiences

The season finale of ‘The Bachelorette’ had a twist to it that none were expecting and that many people were not happy with. The two contestants that were left vying for DeAnna Marie Pappas life was the responsible and hansom Jason Mesnick and the free spirit Jesse Csincsack. Audiences were shocked that Jesse had made it this far believing that he would have been kicked off at the beginning of the show.
