‘American Idol’ Down To The Final Two
This season of ‘American Idol’ is almost over. They are down to the final 2 contestants and you won’t believe who those two are. Wednesday night we said farewell to Syesha Mercado as she was voted off. Now the finale episode will be between David Cook and David Archuleta.
21 year old Mercado from Sarasota, FL was the last woman in the competition who challenged herself over and over again with the songs that she chose like Sam Cooke’s “A Change Is Gonna Come”. Last week she received a standing ovation from Paula Abdul after she sang “Proud Mary” – but this week she couldn’t cut it. She sang “Hit Me Up” – but according to Paula it wasn’t good enough to get her into the finals.
Now there’s Archuleta, the 17-year-old singing prodigy from Murray, Utah, with the overly involved stage dad. And there’s Cook, the 25-year-old former bartender from Blue Springs, Mo., with an emo edge that the angelic Arculeta lacks.
So who will be the winner? Guess you’ll have to watch and see.
